My name is Michelle Grigsby and I’m a food addict (group chanting, “Hello, Michelle”). I am the classic yo-yo healthy/not-healthy eater and exerciser.
I am almost 43 and since I got married and turned 40, I have been gaining weight. After 2 1/2 years, I have gained almost 30 pounds! What the heck? My husband talked to me about it the other day saying he notices I eat larger quantities of food and more often. Plus, I eat more junk food because we have two teenage kids in the house.
I have noticed my weight creeping up over the last year. I’ve always been an avid exerciser…cardiovascularly, I’m in great shape. But apparently, my calories coming in have been greater than my calories being expended. Not only that, I have been making poor food choices….I do have good intentions of eating healthy but then find myself eating late at night and not healthy stuff, either.
This is the deal. They say knowledge is power and I’m hoping to not only gain the knowledge, but to share it and help others. I have looked at so many blogs and web pages that are so hard to read and/or are trying to make money on products they don’t even use. I want to create a site that is easy to navigate and has tons of helpful information. By scouring different sources, I hope to be able to empower myself and help you empower yourself as well.
